    This is referring to the number of weeks or months you'd like to take to get to your goals. The slower this process is, the more likely you'll actually sustain your changes. I usually recommend a minimum of 8 weeks and a maximum of 1 year. Much of this depends on how far you have to go to reach your goals.
    This is to help me judge approximately how many calories you burn in your daily activities, not including your intentional exercise.
