When you come into a yoga class, try to leave your stress and tension at the door. Come in with a quiet and open mind so that you can be fully and present to receive the full benefits of the class.
What do you need? Not a thing. Just wear something comfortable and come on in. There are mats available at the studio, or you can bring your own.
Try to keep pre and post class conversations to a low volume to be considerate of others who may be trying to meditate or quiet themselves.
Please come to class a few minutes early and try to stay until the end. When students come in late or leave early, the whole energy of the room changes. The beginning and end of class are when we are clearing our heads and focusing on breathing, maybe meditating, so we need quiet in the room.
There are often adjustments given by the teacher. These are to help you move more deeply into poses, stretch muscles further, or realign the body. They feel good, but are not for everyone. If you're not interested in adjustments, just let your instructor know. This is your practice, you get it your way.
Thank you for helping us make each class the best possible experience for every student!
With the use of supports such as blankets, blocks and bolsters, as well as straps, we explore seated and reclining poses that will leave you feeling fully refreshed and restored. This class suits any level practitioner, as it is very slow and mindful, using breath and lengthy stretching poses to let go of stress and open your mind and body to all it is capable of.
Deep Stretch is a Yin style yoga class that is designed to help you sit longer, and more comfortably, in meditation by stretching connective tissue around the joints (mainly the knees, pelvis, sacrum, and spine). A passive practice, Yin Yoga involves variations of seated and supine (lying on your back) poses typically held for 1 to 5 minutes, accessing deeper layers of fascia.
Gentle yoga focused on alignment, breath and moderate static stretching. Each posture will be offered with modifications so you are more able to meet your body where is most comfortable and productive. Also including time for stage by stage relaxation/meditation. This class is fit for beginners as well as seasoned yogis.
This class is great for new and experienced yogis. We move at a slower pace than Vinyasa Flow, but it offers a similar feel. Fundamental offers a variety of levels for each pose so that the novices feel comfortable and the higher level practitioners still feel challenged. Through mindful work and attention to the breath, you will learn safe alignment in the fundamental yoga postures and sun salutations. You will also build strength, flexibility, balance, and awareness to prepare to enter more advanced poses and classes safely.
Power + Strength
Featuring breath work, meditation, core work, and strengthening in a Vinyasa style, you will leave feeling empowered, on and off the mat.
*Heated* Power + Strength
This class will challenge you physically, and heal you with a slightly warmer temperature, (around 80-90 degrees), by detoxing you through sweat and flow. Featuring breath work, meditation, core work, and strengthening in a Vinyasa style, you will leave feeling empowered, on and off the mat.
Power and Restore
Life is all about balance. In Power and Restore we get a little burn on, build up strength and get the blood flowing, then follow it up with some luxurious Restorative poses to help the body cool and recover. Build heat then find calm. Yin and Yang.
Vinyasa Flow classes are based upon the traditional vinyasa style, linking breath to movement. Classes include Sun Salutations, balancing, standing and seated poses, with the goal of giving your entire body attention, love and cultivating strength and openness.
